As it may, you are more than likely trying to find a way to utilize your social media platforms into something that is going to help your business reach more potential clients, or just grow your brand all together. In this day and age the growth and uniqueness of online resources has grown exponentially in the past years. I hope that you find some great information or resources to help you on your journey, or that you may choose to partner with me to help you build your platform.
Where did I begin?
In all honesty, I began where you are right now. Sitting down on my couch, in pajama’s listening to pandora and eating leftover’s from the night before with my cold coffee that was already “re-heated”. No? I may be the only one who could say that out loud, but if you are, you found the right place. My husband had an idea to begin a landscaping business back in May of 2016. When you begin a new business from scratch you have a LOT of leg work that you need to take care of. We thought that the hardest part was going to be coming up with a business name, getting supplies, and all of the paperwork that came with it. Little did we know that the hardest part would be marketing the business to our local community.
I knew right away that we would need to set up our business on google and facebook. Those were the two main platforms that I knew would get some traffic. I did not realize the amount of back office work that would go into creating a space that would essentially be our online version of a brick and mortar. The significance of proper online posting, hashtags, photos, wording, and information that needed to be shared became overwhelming. Especially if you are just beginning to figure out how to launch a business.
I began the initial research, as you are doing right now. I realized that the importance of organic following was vital. I began to use my back round in building websites, business management, and help with some great mentors to get a better understanding of the work to be done. There were so many out there spending thousands of dollars on extremely basic social media set ups, mock ups, posting, online management, who were not getting much return. We are always told that good thing come in time, I realized that we needed to take the longer route, and be smarter with our online presence if we were going to market the business and not spend anything on online AD’s. As a business that was just starting, we honestly did not have the funds to support a $500 dollar campaign that would run for one week, with a mix of organic and non organic views. This would not help us in the long run.
I now sit here 4 years later with the education, knowledge, understanding, and persistence to confidently take on a client base. I have had the opportunity to use my skills to provide assistance to business owners who just needed some training, support, guidance, and plainly just take over some of the stress that social media management can bring. I have been successful in providing organic following, and material for my clients to use. My one on one approach with honest reviews of what needs to change in order to help your business grow via online presence is what has helped me get to this point.
